New Frontier Group Appoints Laurie Roberts as Chief Operating Officer

Global insurance and operations executive brings deep expertise in international growth, strategic partnerships and operational transformation to NFG’s leadership team

Foothills Ranch, CA — October 8 — New Frontier Group (NFG), a global provider of cost management and care solutions, today announced the appointment of Laurie Roberts as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Roberts joins NFG as the company continues to expand its leadership expertise, strengthen its global capabilities and invest in the operational infrastructure needed to support clients in an increasingly complex international healthcare environment.

Roberts brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning international insurance, travel, health, life and specialty products, with a strong track record of driving growth, building global operations and developing strategic relationships across complex insurance and assistance ecosystems.

“Laurie brings an exceptional combination of operational leadership, global insurance expertise and an understanding of the partnerships that make international healthcare work,” said Gitte Bach, President and CEO of New Frontier Group. “As New Frontier Group continues to grow, we are focused not only on expanding our capabilities, but also on ensuring that our operations, technology and service delivery continue to evolve with the needs of our clients. Laurie’s experience will be an important part of that next chapter.”

Most recently, Roberts served as Chief Operating Officer of Trawick International and SureGo Administrative Services, where she led global operations and enterprise strategy across a multi-line insurance and TPA platform encompassing travel, international private medical insurance, life and disability, and specialty products. During her tenure, she helped scale the organization, expand international operations, integrate acquisitions and manage relationships with key industry partners including carriers, brokers, vendors, medical networks, and global partners.

Her experience also includes serving as Managing Director, North America for Global Benefits Group, where she held full P&L responsibility and led strategy across the United States and Canada for health, life, disability, travel and student insurance products. Earlier in her career, Roberts led global business development for Compass Benefits Group and the iNext Travel Insurance business for the Council on International Educational Exchange, building partnerships with carriers, TPAs, emergency assistance providers and other organizations serving international populations.

“New Frontier Group has built a strong reputation by combining cost management expertise with a highly responsive approach to care,” said Roberts. “I’m excited to join a team that understands how important operational excellence is to the client and patient experience. I look forward to helping NFG continue to scale its capabilities while preserving the service, flexibility and partnership that differentiate the organization.”

Roberts’ appointment comes as New Frontier Group continues to broaden its expertise and solutions for organizations managing healthcare across borders. In her role as COO, she will work closely with Bach and the NFG leadership team to support operational strategy, organizational growth, strategic partnerships and scalable service delivery.

Roberts also brings significant governance and regulatory experience. She has served as a board member of a Cayman Islands captive insurance company and holds Accident & Health, Life, Property & Casualty and Surplus Lines broker licenses, including a California resident license and non-resident licenses across 49 states.

“Growth only matters if it translates into greater value for our clients,” Bach added. “Adding Laurie to our leadership team gives us even greater depth as we continue building the expertise, infrastructure and relationships that allow New Frontier Group to solve increasingly complex challenges for our clients around the world.”
